Memorial Services

For you many reasons you may find yourself needing to hold a service for a loved one after burial or cremation has taken place.  A memorial service can be held in lieu of a funeral service, but is no less powerful. It has the ability to mark the significant change in a reality; and honour the life that is no longer with us.  Our humble suggestion would be that it is held within a month of a death, or, to coincide with a significant milestone of the deceased (such as birthday or anniversary).  You will know what is best and right for you and wherever possible we will support you in this.  A memorial service will most often look like a funeral service, without a coffin being present and a memorial table set up in its place. A memorial table will usually have ashes, photos, candles and personal meaningful items of the loved one sitting on it.

It can not be emphasised enough, that there is NO right or wrong way to do this, just an intent to honour the life that is no longer with us.  Our role is to walk alongside you, offering practical assistance, support, and encouragement to bring your vision to life.

It is very common to combine a direct cremation with a memorial service, as the overall cost can be a lot less than a full funeral, but no less meaningful and significant.
